My Favourite Dish


Food is essential for everyone to live. There are varieties of food items available in this world. Though I like all the food items but 'Khichdi' is my favourite dish. I want to eat at least once or twice in a week. I like the flavour and and taste of this dish. Rice, dal and vegetables are the main ingredients of this dish. Besides these mustard, cumin, bay leaves, oil, turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves are also added to prepare this dish. My mother cooks delicious Khichdi on every weekend. It is very healthy and nutritious. It is famous in every north Indian family. The procedure of preparation varies from state to state. When people get ill they take Khichdi for quick recovery. This is rich in protein, carbohydrate, vitamins. We don't face any stomach problem or acidity by taking this dish. Every one should love this 'Swadeshi dish'.
