We should save forests and stop cutting the trees. Humans are cutting trees for tables, chairs and huts. We should plant more trees. They give us oxygen to breathe. No forests mean no greenery and no food. Forests are our best friends. They are also best friends of animals.

Shetty the magician was returning home, when all of a sudden it began to rain. It rained heavily. Shetty looked around for shelter and saw a pretty little fir tree. He ran towards it as fast as he could.

Soon the rain stopped. Shetty was happy, that he did not get wet.

“Thank you, you have been kind to me. I would like to reward you. Ask for four wishes and I will grant them,” said the magician.

The sad fir tree had leaves like needles and no birds ever made their nests on it. So it said, “I wish I had green leaves like my other friends.”

Paragraph 1

Himalaya

The Himalayas are the highest mountain ranges in the world. They lie from Jammu and Kashmir in the north-west to Assam and Meghalaya in the east. A part of the Himalayas lies in Nepal, Bhutan and China. In Pakistan, they extend up to the Hindukush.

Everest which is a part of the Himalayas is the highest mountain peak in the world. It lies in Nepal Tenzing and Hillary were the first persons who scaled this peak in 1953. Since then, it has been scaled by several men and women of different countries.

 

Paragraph 2

Onam

Onam is the well-known celebration of Kerala. It is also signified as the harvest celebration of Kerala. Malayalee people enjoy it with energy. Onam is a ten-day-long celebration. According to the Malayalam calendar, Onam is praised toward the start of Chingam month.

It is accepted that during the festival of Onam the King Mahabali’s Holy Spirit lives in Kerala. Individuals beautify their homes with blossoms and draw Rangoli with flowers and rice flour. They cook different traditional Kerala dishes, visit temples with one another. It is a Favourite festival for all.
