मिर्च का मज़ा

 सारांश 



एक बार एक काबुलीवाले ने एक कुँजड़िन को मिर्च बेचते हुए देखा I वह सोचा कि मिर्च इस मौसम कोई मीठा फल है और इसे खाने से ताकत मिलती है I इसलिए उसने कुँजड़िन से चार आने का मिर्च ख़रीदा और एक नदी किनारे जाकर चवाने लगा I मिर्च के तीखेपन से उसका मुँह जल गया और आँखों से आंसू बहने लगा I लेकिन वह हार नहीं माना और मिर्च चवाने लगा I उस वक़्त एक सिपाही वहां आकर उसे मिर्च खाने से रोका I लेकिन काबुलीवाले ने उसकी बात नहीं सुनी I उपर से उसे उसके रास्ते जाने को कहा क्यों कि वह मिर्च अपने पैसों से ख़रीदा था I

जब मुझको साँप ने काटा (Reading Comprehension)

 

नीचे दिए गए अनुच्छेद को पढ़ो और पूछे गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर दो I

अनुच्छेद 1 

एक दिन मैंने अपने अहाते में एक छोटा-सा साँप रेंगते देखा I वह धीरे-धीरे रेंग रहा था I मुझको देखते ही वह भागा और वहीं पर पड़े हुए नारियल के एक खोल में घुसकर छिप गया I मैंने पत्थर का एक टुकड़ा उठाया और उससे नारियल के खोल का मुँह बंद कर दिया I

उसे लेकर मैं नानी के पास दौड़ गया I

मैंने कहा – नानी , देखो, मैंने साँप पकड़ा है I

नानी चीख उठीं – साँप!

वह इतना घबरा गई कि लगीं ज़ोर-ज़ोर से चीखने-पुकारने I नाना ने सुना तो अन्दर दौड़ आए I जब उन्हें पता चला कि नारियल के खोल के अन्दर साँप है तो उन्होंने मेरे हाथ से उसे छीनकर दूर फैंक दिया I नन्हा साँप बाहर निकल आया और रेंगता हुआ पास की झाड़ी में गायब हो गया I

नाना ने मुझसे कहा – खबरदार , फिर कभी साँप के पास मत जाना I साँप बहुत खतरनाक होता है I

बूढ़ा मुझे झोंपड़ी में ले गया I

मैं चाहता तो बहुत था कि उस बूढ़े को बता दूँ कि मुझे साँप ने नहीं , बर्र ने काटा है I पर मेरे नाना मुझे कसकर पकड़े रहे और मुझे बोलने ही नहीं दिया I जैसे ही मैं कुछ कहने को मुँह खोलता , वह डाँटकर कहते – चुप! डर के मारे मैं चुप हो जाता I हमारे पीछे – पीछे हमारी नानी भी कई लोगों के साथ वहाँ आ पहुँची I सब लोग उदास खड़े देखते रहे I

Here is a short story.

Once a lion lay fast asleep in the Ranathambore forest of Rajasthan. Some mice were playing hide and seek near him. One mouse got trapped under the lion's paw. The lion woke up, laughed loudly and let the mouse go!

After some days the mouse heard the lion's roar. He saw that the lion lay in great pain as he was tied with many ropes. The mouse used his sharp teeth and cut the rope.

"You are a true friend," said the lion.

Indeed, a friend in need is a friend in deed.

What does this mean?

(i) We must be there for friends in trouble.
